Preparation of appraisals
As an established icon dealer with over 48 years of experience, we provide expert reports, appraisals, valuations, and assessments for you.
Our written assessments are based on sound expertise and decades of practice. We have assessed countless exhibits of various origins and eras and can thus reliably classify the artistic, historical, and market-related value of your icon.
You are welcome to present your pieces in person at our gallery or send us photos in advance for an initial assessment.
Restoration
Would you like to have an icon restored?
You are welcome to bring your icon to us in person so that we can carry out an initial professional assessment.
Upon request, we can connect you with experienced restorers with whom we have worked closely and trustfully for many years. Depending on the condition and origin of the icon, we select the appropriate restorer – always with the aim of preserving the substance and character of the original.

Since 1977, the Ikonen Galerie Graßmann in Berlin has been dedicated to old Russian wooden and bronze icons from the 16th to 19th centuries. Decades of experience have resulted in a carefully selected range that has attracted both private customers and international dealers.
The customer base was expanded with the appearance on the Internet. Each icon was provided with a certificate and a well-founded appraisal and could be exchanged at any time – a service that created trust and stability.
After more than 37 years of successful activity, the founder decided to hand over the business to other hands for reasons of age, family obligations and lack of succession. Even if no more exhibitions take place in the future, the gallery remains accessible online and continues to provide interested parties with experience and advice.
